Squeaking from Bambu Labs printer?

Posted on April 16, 2025 by ericgharrison

I recently purchased a Bambu Labs P1S printer, and have been having a lot of fun printing a variety of things. However, recently it started squeaking during certain movements of the print head.

I got lucky and found this video which describes the problem and solution. In my case I didn’t have to take the back cover off, I just used a finger from my right hand to apply some pressure to the bottom of the idler pulley mechanism while I used left hand to loosen and tighten the screw. After doing that, I moved the head around and confirmed no more squeak. Nice easy fix!
